Works exactly as described. Anybody with any scientific interest or leaning should spend a dollar and get this thing!

Works well on iPhone 4! Tried it with a magnet and the speakers for the magnetic setting, then tried the accelerometer which also works.

I would normally give it 4 stars, but I gave it 5 to offset the complainers why cant read!

Does not work on iPod. Should be stated more clearly. iPod does not have magnetic sensor, from what I can gather.

We are encouraging people to place magnets around and on electronics because why???

Works better than I expected. People have no clue what they are talking about . . . "encouraging people to put magnets around electronics". All electronic devices with a current (ie on) produce an EM field. Learn some physics folks. This is a really cool app.

Great app

This is an excellent app, doing everything that is advertised. The arrows give a clear view of the direction of the magnetic field and the acceleration. They are a lot easier to visualize with this than by looking at the raw sensor numbers. I especially like the magnetic declination view. This is useful for learning about magnetism as well as seeing what kinds of fields are emitted by various devices around the house.

I got it because I have always been interested in magnetics.

I love the 3D visualization of the sensors. It would be cool if it included the gyro data as well as logging. It could be useful for science experiments.

Work well on my 4S. I would suggest not getting strong magnets near the phone. It will not hurt the electronics, but it could make the phone frame slightly magnetic and interfere with the compass.

There needs to be more apps like this! (Apps that use APIs to give you fundamental information of the world around you) This allows you to view the direction and intensity of the magnetic field around you.

This app is quite sensitive and visually impressive. Ive been measuring Gauss units from my various devices, iPod Touch, iPad, Kindle, etc. Im wondering what impact, if any, those fields have on me? For example, do those devices near my head contribute to insomnia or other possible health issues? Useful app! Very interesting.

The magnetometer function works OK but not in all modes. The compass star rotates briefly after the built-in compass has been activated but then locks up. The accelerometer doesnt respond at all, it just gives a fixed red arrow. Good for entertaining a 4-year-old using a little magnet to make the blue arrow dance; but thats about all.

Im not sure how this app could look any cooler than it does. It really helps you visualize the invisible forces acting on the iPhones sensors. This must be what evil geniuses play with when they arent trying to kill James Bond. All I need now is a monocle and a white Persian cat.

This app is dynamite. Very educational about the physical world. After turning off "Screen Rotation" the screen will nevertheless rotate once before locking.
